The country was named Sonas as it means happiness in Scottish Gaelic
Colonization |
Sonas was colonized in the 16th century by Thailand, thus most of the population became Buddhist. Thailand came to Sonas because of its large land mass, advantages of transport because of the surrounding of the sea and its numerous resources. Although Thailand is far away from Sonas, but was a good decision in their advantage. They arrived by boat, from the east of the sea. 200 years later, England overtook Sonas, there was a battle between England and Thailand, but because of a lack of weaponry by Thailand, England claimed victory. England colonized Sonas for roughly another 600 years. Some of the population turned to Christianity. England took more land from the population, raised the taxes and wanted more labor. In the 1600’s Sonas’ original population revolted. In more than thirty villages, the original population fought back to the English. After a month of revolts all over Sonas and 3000 of revolters killed and 500 English killed, the English decided to leave Sonas. Sonas then became an independent country.

WWI & WWII |
Sonas did not take part of World War I and II even though it was located nearby the World War I and II participants. It remained neutral throughout the wars, as the countries army was not big enough yet to fight against such powerful countries as Germany, France, Russia etc. Sonas also decided to stay neutral, so that it makes no enemies, and keeps its citizens safe.
